About the Fasnachtsgesellschaft Rheinfelden

Four days full of music, colour and living tradition: Rheinfelden's Fasnacht is more than a festival, it is genuine craftsmanship. The Fasnachtsgesellschaft Rheinfelden prepares a 4-day festival in the old town and organises the entire festival mile with top entertainment.

Several parades through the lanes, Schnitzelbänke in the pubs, children's carnival and many Guggen concerts add to the great atmosphere. Visitors and guest Guggen bands come from near and far to enjoy the 5th season with us.

We thank everyone who took part and supported the Fasnacht: participants, the town, sponsors and residents. Only together is such a wonderful event possible.

How Fasnacht comes together

A whole year flows into four days of Rheinfelden's Fasnacht.

Preparation
We prepare the Fasnacht all year round: programme, stall spaces, adverts and badges.

Handover of the town sceptre
On Thursday evening the town hands the sceptre to Frau Fasnacht, who rules Rheinfelden for four days.

Parades, Guggen concerts, Schnitzelbänke and children's carnival bring Rheinfelden's old town to life.

It's an honour for me to serve Frau Fasnacht. As far back as I can remember, I've been infected with the carnival bug – as a boy at the village Fasnacht in Kaiseraugst and in Basel. My Gugge career began in 1993, 15 years with the Gasseschränzer. Since 2008 I've been on the road with the Spitzbuäbe.

Representative of the Burg-Stei-Grafe
Bringing Rheinfelden's Fasnacht to life with our association. I started with the Grüttgrabe Geischter in 2008, staying until 2019 as a member and president. In 2020 we founded the Burg-Stei-Grafe Rhyfälde, where I remain active as a carnival-goer and president to this day.

Living the Fasnacht and passing on the enthusiasm. I've been out and about at Fasnacht since I was a child, my parents got me hooked early on. I joined the Grüttis in 2009 and have been active ever since. Since 2026 I've had the honour of being the first female president of the Grüttis.
